Why Do I Do It?
1- It's fufilling , preserving one of the most special and emotional days of your life
2- It's fun, Albert Einstein said "creativity is intelligence having fun!" Photography allows me to learn and challenge myslef to create better and better art every day.
3- They are more than just picture, I understand and have experienced the value of photos and videos in my own life.
My GG had dimensia and pictures were her only source of remembering who she was.
My husband is in the military and when he is gone for months at a time my kids would carry around his picture and watch his videos daily to cope with emotions beyond their understanding.
My father in law passed so the best way to show our children their papa is through photos. Many of those pictures were taken at weddings.
It's simple
I do this so when the tough times come, you have good times to lean on. Good memories to pull you out, to remind you that just like weddings life is full of highs and lows.
That's what makes them beautiful
My love affair with the great outdoors began long before I picked up a camera. My heart truly found its calling when I worked as a backcountry camp counselor, leading enthusiastic children through the stunning Sierra Nevada mountains for days of camping bliss. Those adventures awakened an addiction to the wild, and even after pursuing my education, all I could think about was getting back out there to hike and explore.
My photography journey kicked off a little differently—rather humorously, in fact! After my wedding, I quickly realized I was not cut out for the planning game, and the photos I received? Let’s just say they were more ‘nightmare’ than ‘fairytale.’ The poor photographer barely knew me, our styles clashed like oil and water, and the lighting was a complete disaster. After staring at that gallery, I thought, ‘I can do better than this!’
With determination and a trusty iPhone, I began my training. A pivotal moment was photographing my brother's engagement session with my phone. That’s when my husband, ever the cheerleader, gifted me my first professional camera, proudly declaring to everyone he meets just how talented his wife is (which, let's be honest, is always nice to hear!).
For the next three years, I honed my skills, ensuring I could shoot beautifully in any light and weather—because no one deserves to feel the way I did on my wedding day. Now, I've blended my passion for the outdoors with my photography, and nothing brings me more joy than capturing couples on their love-filled adventures.

At KTay Photography we are dedicated to create an amazing experience for you. Everyone deserves beautiful photos of the people most important to them that they can cherish forever. I also believe in giving back to the community and regularly participate in fundraisers. I also donate a minimum of 10% of all of the earnings to organizations that use the funds to help people get out of hard times ie: job loss, lack of food, and psychological counseling. Your support makes it possible!

Kimberly was absolutely wonderful from the very start! I first reached out to her about two months before our wedding in Glacier, and she guided me through every step of the process. From hair and makeup to arranging the charcuterie board, securing our marriage license, and handling the wedding permit for GNP—she truly did it all.
She even took care of the cake and florals, and when I decided to bring five extra guests along at the last minute, her husband stepped in to drive our van! Kimberly even brought a cooler full of snacks for everyone.
She was incredible at keeping our group organized, on schedule, and right where we needed to be. Beyond her professionalism, she was so kind, encouraging, and genuinely a joy to have with us on such a special day. I can’t recommend her enough!

This was such an amazing experience, it honestly couldn’t have gone any better! Kimberly is the nicest person, she really knows what she is doing and knows how to make you feel comfortable in-front of the camera. She took us to the prettiest spots, she was giving us really good directions and she had just had a baby a few weeks prior! She is literally a superwoman! Her coworker was there as well so they got so many good shots, and they were so funny and nice! Very professional as she promised a preview on the Monday after the shoot and she delivered! The pictures are beautiful, the locations she brought us to were stunning, and afterwards we chatted for a bit as the sun went down and she had snacks for us!! I can’t stop saying great things about Kimberly and this experience, worth every penny and I would do it all over again if I could. 🤎

We were truly blown away by how fast she sent us our sneak peek photos; less than 48 hours after our elopement! Not only are the photos stunning, but they bring us right back to the best day of our lives every time we look at them. We couldn’t be happier to have had her capture our day!

If anyone knows how we roll. It’s definitely last minute and very on the fly. Kimberly did SUCH an amazing job to adjusting to our hectic schedule. The communication was more than I expected and she delivered on EVERYTHING she said she would do and then some! We received our sneak peak 12 hours . We had an 8 hour session with her and her husband. They are without a doubt the SWEETEST and most genuine people to work with. It was a long day but I could help but laugh and smile the whole day. Kimberly made it so fun and relaxing.
If I could if rate her a 10/5. And that’s no exaggeration. I had high expectations but she well over exceeded those easily.
I’d recommend to anyone that’s in need of any type of pictures to go see Kimberly. She’s a treat!

Ktay is my new favorite person! She made our day so amazing. From the moment we chose to hire her she helped us every second of the way. She was just a text away the whole 5 months leading up to our day. She truly knows the park inside and out. She knows where to be and when. You’re not only paying for photography but a tour guide as well. We spent a lot of time in the car as well and she was so personable and fun to be with all day. We really had a great time spending our wedding day with her. Besides all that her photos are vibrant and intimate. She got us a sneak peak within 3 days and it was not just 5-10 photos it was several and I was so impressed. I don’t know how they can get any better but I know there’s even more to come. I would choose her and this whole experience again and again. I am so beyond happy and she was worth every penny!!!

I cannot say enough great words about how wonderful Kimberly was!! She not only took absolutely amazing photos of our wedding but she helped me plan the whole day, gave me all the recommendations I needed from hair and makeup, flowers and a cake! Planning an elopement can be stressful, especially being so far away and planning it in a place you’ve never been but Kimberly made this whole process so easy. She answered all my questions, helped me get everything I needed to get married in glacier and made sure the day went amazing. Even with the rain it was the absolute best day!! If I could give Kimberly 10 ⭐️ I would! After planning everything and getting very excited for the experience the weather took a turn for the worse just days before our elopement and no matter how much I tried to not let it effect me, I was so worried it would all be a waste. Kimberly assured me that bad weather would mean great pictures and she was 1000% correct. It rained on us almost all day and we even had to skip a stop because the clouds were so heavy but Kimberly made the day fun and kept reassuring me and making the whole family laugh and enjoy themselves! Kimberly made it all enjoyable, even in the worst of it! She took extra time with us at the end when it cleared up because of the skipped stop. Just trust her, she knows the park! After seeing the photos the next day my fiance and I were blown away. You could barely notice the rain and what she did with the clouds was magical. Book with Kimberly, she will make your experience amazing!!!!

We did a National Park elopement shoot with her and she was so helpful throughout the entire process from brainstorming, planning, strategizing, and all of the logistical questions. She offered great advice and guidance which was so needed and helpful since we live across the country from her and needed some help with the details. She was so personable and down to earth and makes you feel comfortable like hanging out with a friend. She also was so nice, we had some great conversations during the shoot as well. Kimberly was such an amazing help planning out elopement. We had never been to Montana, so having someone who was has such an intimate knowledge with the area was a god send. She helped us work through the process of getting the permit for the park, and our marriage license, navigate a LGBT wedding in a new state, and gave us plenty of locations to choose where to take our photographs. Her help was pivotal in helping us have the most breathtaking experience. We built lasting memories and were able to have them expertly captured.

As a military family- It is always a challenge to figure out when the right time to do anything is. Kimberly was absolutely incredible to deal with especially in the unfortunate times we had changing the schedule!
On top of that she was super fun to work with and had us laughing the entire time. Incredibly blessed to be able to have this experience and would encourage anyone that was second guessing it to just book it. You will not regret it.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING EXPERIENCE!!! We booked for our wedding in Glacier and got so much more than we expected! This duo is perfect! We hired her husband Clay to do our ceremony and it was exactly what we were looking for. Simple, sweet, stress free and they were so good at capturing the things we wanted out of our day. The area was stunning! The photos are incredible! And Kim is so great at what she does. We felt so comfortable and were able to enjoy every location she took us to. I wish I could give a million stars! Kimberly was our dream photographer. I knew from the moment I looked at her images that I loved her work and wanted her to shoot our elopement. I reached out with about 2 weeks until our desired elopement date and she was available. Her husband is an officiant and she had amazing recommendations for hair/makeup and flower shops in the Flathead Valley and was able to guide me through getting our special use permit for Glacier. She made putting our elopement together seamless! Her and her husband are such kind and fun people - all that you could ever hope for in a wedding dream team!
