Glacier National Park Elopement – Ryan Beach

Welcome! You guys are in for a treat today. This was a STUNNING sunrise elopement at Glacier National Park in April.

The Prep

For those who don’t know most of Glacier is still closed until mid July. There are only a few ceremony spots you can access year round and they are all around Lake McDonald. After talking with Vincent and Meredith we decided Ryan Beach would be the best spot for them.

The Day was perfect. It was suppose to be a snow/rain storm but Mother Nature was kind to us and gave us a beautiful WARM morning. I had a terrible earache during this wedding so I actually arrived at the site early because I couldn’t sleep. This ended up being a huge blessing because I was able to capture the colorful sunrise before everyone else got there! Then I worked some magic and photoshopped my couple into the images. This is my first time doing that and it took HOURS but I think was definitely worth it. What do you think?

The Day

We spent the first hour and a half exploring Glacier National Park. We ended up going for a small hike to a beautiful bridge I had found a couple of weeks prior to the session. It was a stunning and the walk to and from was so relaxing. We took a few pictures but mostly spent that time enjoying each others company. Then by the time we got back all of the nerves were gone and the couple was ready for the ceremony!

They had a beautiful ceremony officiated by Vincent’s Cousin. It was Truly a perfect day. They had two cousins and their mothers there to enjoy the moment with. Once they were married we all popped some champagne and enjoyed the park, skipping rocks and taking photos with the family.

After 17 years Meredith and Vincent were able to get married, creating their own family unit. I am so grateful that they trusted me to capture this long awaited day and so happy for them.
